This report by the NHS Benchmarking Network summarises the results of an audit that has taken place across Health and Justice Commissioning services, Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) and NHS England Specialised Commissioning to quantify the extent of prisoners waiting for assessment and waiting for transfer to mental health facilities (secure and non-secure services).
