September is Sepsis Awareness Month, and Saturday 13 September is World Sepsis Day, a global day of awareness and fundraising. This year, the UK Sepsis Trust have teamed up with football legend Harry Redknapp to arm as many people as possible with lifesaving information.
Sepsis is a life-threatening reaction to infection — it can strike anyone, at any time. Five lives are lost to sepsis every hour in the UK. But, if spotted early, it’s often treatable. Awareness saves lives.
