Summary
The Patients Association has been working with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) to understand the impact the English language proficiency of health and care professionals has on patient and carer experiences. The HPCP is proposing changes to its English language proficiency requirements for applicants and this blog outlines key issues that were raised in an online focus group with patients, including:
