Summary

Neonatal herpes simplex virus (HSV) disease is a rare, and potentially fatal, disease which usually occurs in the first four weeks of a baby's life. Early recognition and treatment of the virus has been shown to significantly improve babies' chances of making a full recovery.

Kit Tarka Foundation works to prevent newborn baby deaths; primarily through raising awareness of neonatal herpes, funding research and providing advice for healthcare professionals and the general public.
