i went back to raise issues and was told it was in my head and refer me to a clinical physcologist, after meeting with her and working with speech theopist they both advised this was not normal and to report to GDC. have been to see so many senior orthos to try and reverse, no one cares, most doors shut to me and now i am left disabled and in pain for life it seems. the UK as well as ,many other places are still pulling teeth and retracting people! why are orthos obessed with overbites! and pulling back not pushing forward!! program coming out by mike mew will hopefuilly wake people up, but to much money in orthodontics so it wont stop them damaging peoples faces and lives, this has to stop the ortho work can kill peoples health as it has thousands of us

I had orthodontic treatment to help with a canted smile, i was not educated or advised this was skeletal issue and put in class 2 elastics, , one side of jaw pulled down, then got told by a diff practice my ortho work was terrible after being referred there for purely advise on edge bonding once my brace was off, he pushed me into more treatment with his friend who put a mini screw in my jaw x 2 and took no information from the transferring ortho, no xray, no commincation telling me he was a bad otho, he pulled me back and in to a broken place damaaing my speech in the process, over retracted my teeth to the wrong angle as now confriemd by xray, left me with spine issue, leg issues, very similar to the person a few comments above me, left me unable to speak and ive lost my job it has destroyed my life and health
