Hi Sue, yes cohorts are getting more tricky as with the example you give and much more invasive/complex surgery being done as day case. We don't have a cohort quality statement as such but refer to an old East Mids agreed list. Please fid attached. UHL and East Midlands approved List of Day Case procedures where VTE risk assessment can be done by cohort1.pdf

Hi Sue, Can't get this info' in Leicester either. We only hear from the coroner when they issue a section 28 letter. I tried (years ago) to get the information from Births/Deaths/Marriages Registrar. They were happy for me to use the Deaths info', but could only send it to me as pdf's so not practical to manually trawl for PE's.

Hi Jo, we follow this dosing table. I've highlighted the guidance re discarding from the syringe, it only happens for one dose/weight.

Hi Becs, I'm not getting on very well with this platform. How do I find, for example, the chemical thromboprophylaxis thread you mention above as it's not visible to me in the topics list? Thanks

Dear All, We have recently changed from Dalteparin to Enoxaparin (Inhixa) as our first line LMWH for thromboprophylaxis. When using Dalteparin, we measured renal function using eGFR, however, the Renal team have pointed out that we should use CrCl to establish renal function for Enoxaparin (and we should have done for Dalteparin). For those using Enoxaparin as thier first line LMWH, could you let me know if you measure eGFR or CrCl? Thanks. Bw. Simon.
