What good idea Julie about setting up this blog for our book and hopefully will serve to spread the work and enhance sales of such. Infection prevention and control must move beyond the standard biomedical approach of which remains the case today towards taking a broader perspective that includes the sciences of philosophy psychology, sociology, archaeology, biology, systems/artificial intelligence, architecture, computing, human geography, veterinary with regards to the spread of disease from animals to humans, human/mechanical engineering and political influences. Some of which are discussed in this book but there is much more to do in terms of broadening the principles and conceptual understanding of those involved in the provision of medicine, health and social care.
