I fully agree with this article, patient safety is top of the agenda until it comes to spend. Patient Safety is across all areas of healthcare and while allot of agencies talk the talk they don't follow up their words. Not every new product or practice is worth the cost but some are. Everything from infection prevention and reduction to fall prevention are all areas for improvement in hospitals. The Uvamed product is a simple device at a reasonable cost but if it prevent one serious accident the cost is worth it.
