Summary
The Pharmacy Schools Programme is a structured education programme for primary 1 through primary 7. Mapped to the Northern Ireland curriculum Personal Development and Mutual Understanding as well as World Around Us, this resource teaches children about the role of the pharmacist, how to access health information, medication safety and awareness of common childhood illnesses and self-care practices. The programme supports Belfast Healthy Cities to foster greater participation for Health and Well-being through increasing health literacy.
