APIC staffing calculator

Summary

This staffing calculator has been developed by the US Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC). The tool is in beta version and uses input from individual healthcare facilities to provide recommendations to assist with infection prevention staffing decisions. There are three separate calculators:

• Acute care hospital calculator
• Long-term care calculator
• Ambulatory clinic calculator

As the tool is currently in development, the data collected from participating organisations will be used to update the calculators and provide the most accurate staffing recommendations.
