ASSIST ME is a model for staff support following patient safety incidents in healthcare, developed by the National Open Disclosure Programme of the Irish Health Services Executive. This booklet aims to provide practical information and guidance for health and social care managers and staff about:
- understanding the potential impact of patient safety incidents on staff.
- recognising and managing the associated signs and symptoms.
- supporting staff following patient safety incidents.
- providing information on the support services available to staff.
