Recent care scandals show that the system has been failing too many people with learning disabilities and autism for too long and we need a new approach to restraint. This webinar will look at restraint, how it can be avoided - and when it can’t be avoided how it can be done safely and ethically with a human rights approach.
Evidence shows that nurses are seeing more behaviours that challenge than ever before, so it's important to have the skills and knowledge to deal with situations when they arise.
As well as examining issues around restraint and seclusion, our panel of experienced nurses will give you practical strategies to use restraint effectively and safely for both you and the service user.
