    Hi all Does anyone advocate squeezing out of enoxaparin to get to the correct dose or round up or down to the nearest syringe size? Thanks Jo

    We stipulate they should have a VTE risk assessment within 24 hours of admission, we don't use the 14 hours as we didn't think it feasible to achieve. This may change now NICE have introduced their tweaks to the guidance which puts us under more pressure to achieve the 14 hour target and the 12 hour target for patients in ED. I think we are outliers still using the 24 target for VTE risk assessment.

    Hi Sue Hope you are well. Nice to see you in the meeting yesterday. We don't include arm DVT in our HAT investigations as these clots are not associated with lack of mobility as DVT and PE are. So they are not deemed to be preventable at our Trust. Hope that helps. Jo
