I am very sorry to read of your experience in private healthcare. I have had the opportunity to observe practice in both private and nhs operating theatre's and agree that practice varies. Nursing staff are critical to patient safety in the operating environment and confident leadership is essential, but this takes time for an individual to develop. You have demonstrated the qualities we need to make patient safety a priority, professional and caring. Hold onto to your integrity and nursing standards - your patients need you to be their advocate especially when others are so unprofessional.- Posted
