Coming late to this story, which is shocking both in what happened and how your reports of it were responded to. This has serious public safety ramifications for those treated by that consultant and in that particular hospital. You describe the brave professional efforts you undertook to raise the incident. These sounded, from your post, internal to the hospital. Did you also contact CQC, as they would have been well-placed to intervene? Did you report the consultant to the GMC? I hope that the finding that all avenues were blocked to you, that didn’t also include the above two regulators.
