I am an Anticoagulation Nurse Specialist at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust who has worked in the Anticoagulation Department for 20 years (though I cant believe it is that long!). We have 330+ patients that self test their INRs and either email or phone them in for dosing. I love being able to enable a person to take charge of their INR monitoring and only wish that the self testing devices were available on the NHS just like a glucometer is available to a patient with diabetes. I want to be part of the hub to keep myself and our team up to date on changing practices and be able to ask questions in safe and secure environment. I also want to be here to share our experiences and hopefully prevent people from reinventing the wheel if there are documents/SOPS/agreements that we can share to make life easier.
