The easiest and most effective way to reduce ADHD symptoms is to exercise. When you exercise, dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin are immediately boosted in the brain -- all of which affect focus and attention. Ritalin and Adderall work similarly to physical activity in treating ADHD. The only difference between ADHD medication and exercise is that exercise does not require a prescription and its side effects are minimal. However, first of all, you should consult your pediatrician if your child is diagnosed with ADHD. They can give you advice on medication and exercise.
