Frances Barnes MA CMgr MCMI RM is a senior NHS leader and registered midwife with over 15 years' experience in maternity, neonatal and women's health services. She is currently Head of Midwifery at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust and has previously served as Acting Director of Midwifery and Head of Maternity Governance at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Frances is recognised for her leadership in service transformation, patient safety, workforce development and reducing health inequalities. She has led cultural safety initiatives, developed women's health strategies and worked extensively across regional and national healthcare networks. Passionate about improving outcomes for women and girls, she is committed to ensuring women's voices shape policy, strategy and healthcare delivery.
