About me
I'm Lauren Morgan, Director of Morgan Human Systems, working at the intersection of human factors and patient safety. My work focuses on helping healthcare organisations take a systems-based approach to understanding and learning from patient safety incidents, moving beyond individual blame to examine how work system design influences the care people can deliver.
Through Morgan Human Systems, I develop practical resources and training to make systems thinking accessible to those working on the frontline of patient safety improvement. This includes e-learning on systems approaches to incident learning, accredited by the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (CIEHF), and tools such as a SEIPS quick reference guide to support practitioners in applying human factors frameworks in their day-to-day work.
