The importance of housing for delivering better outcomes for population health is being increasingly understood by health and care services. Throughout the pandemic, the benefit of a healthy home for a healthy life has become central to the nation’s fight against Covid-19. For most people, homes are no longer just a personal space but now serve as workplaces, socialising hubs and more, encapsulating all the functions of human life.
The King’s Fund is organising a four-day conference, 21–24 February to explore, in-depth, how health care and housing are coming closer together and the implications of good quality housing (or lack of) for health outcomes across the country.
