After Action Review MasterclassWhile After Action Reviews (AAR) have gained considerable momentum in recent times following their inclusion in NHS England’s Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) as a key learning response technique, the above quote from the 2026 Ockenden Report highlights that some large organisations are struggling to effectively embed AAR in the workplace with limited training and guidance cited as key factors.
This one-day masterclass is aimed at those who will facilitate AARs or take part in AAR meetings and is designed to ensure that all learners gain and grasp the fundamentals needed for successful delivery of AAR. The masterclass is led by an experienced AAR facilitator who works at a healthcare provider rated outstanding across all five CQC domains, supported by two trainers with extensive experience of providing accredited training in patient safety related disciplines.
Key learning objectives
This masterclass will enable you to:
Understand the history of AARs and their variable integration into healthcare
