Together with the Türkiye Health Care Quality and Accreditation Institute (TUSKA) and the Ministry of Health, Türkiye, ISQua is delighted to host their 40th International Conference in Istanbul.
The theme for the 2024 conference is 'Health for People and Planet: Building Bridges to a Sustainable Future'.
It will address the continued challenges of making person-centred care part of the healthcare system, as well as addressing some of the hot topics that matter most in a rapidly changing world. 
Issues such as environmental challenges, reducing the healthcare sector's carbon footprint, and ensuring the long-term resilience of healthcare will be addressed at the conference.
It will also examine the potentials and pitfalls of AI and Digital Transformation in healthcare, and how it can revolutionise healthcare and enable better patient engagement.

Successive governments have been clear about what health and care services should look like: co-ordinated, personalised, responsive, and delivered much closer to home, in settings such as community trust hospitals, pharmacies and community diagnostic centres. However, this long-held vision is still far from being achieved, and in England the system remains centred around hospitals and emergency care.  
Following the launch of a major new report from The King’s Fund, Making care closer to home a reality: refocusing the system to primary and community care, this conference will explore what action is needed across primary, secondary and community care to make care closer to home a reality, and how to develop effective pathways to support better patient outcomes.

The Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) is the NHS’s approach to developing and maintaining effective systems and processes for responding to patient safety incidents and ensuring learning and improvement in patient safety. Implementing PSIRF has been identified as a key objective in the NHS England 2024/25 priorities and operational planning guidance.
This national conference looks at the practicalities of implementing and using PSIRF. The day will provide an update on best practice in incident investigation under PSIRF and ensuring the focus is on a systems based approach to learning from patient safety incidents and delivering safety actions for improvement. The PSIRF is a contractual requirement under the NHS Standard Contract and as such is mandatory for services provided under that contract, including acute, ambulance, mental health, and community healthcare providers. This includes maternity and all specialised services.
