    Sarah Seddon's son (Thomas) was stillborn in May 2017. The lack of candour following Thomas’ death and the conduct of the serious incident investigation impacted significantly on Sarah and her family. This is described in 'The professional duty of candour', which introduces this guidance and forms part of a joint statement from eight regulators of healthcare professionals in the UK.
