Are you expecting a baby or have been in the last 10 years? Are you also interested in shaping research on group B Strep infection in babies?
The National Childcare Trust and Group B Strep Support have launched a GBS3 Trial Discussion Facebook Group about the GBS3 Trial (a research trial looking at whether testing pregnant women for group B Strep reduces the risk of infection in babies compared the current strategy in the UK) and other group B Strep research/ trials related to the GBS3 trial.
The group is what is known as a 'Patient and Public Involvement' or PPI group, and has been set up by the trial team so they can learn more about the views and experiences of expectant parents to help develop this important research. Before joining the PPI group, you'll need to read the role description and complete a survey, which can both be accessed via the link below.
Note: Anyone who has direct experience of a baby who has been affected by illness caused by group B Strep and who wishes to help the trial can join the parallel group: GBS3 Trial: GBS Experienced Discussion Group.
