DESCRIPTION:\n\n	The London Leadership Academy is offering an exciting t
	hree-day leadership programme for lay partners who have roles on boards o
	r committees in the NHS.\n\n\n\n	This programme will be highly interactive
	 throughout and will include expert speakers\, peer mentorship\, coaching\
	, practical exercises\, simulations and discussion. The three days will bu
	ild on each other and are not standalone.\n\n\n\n	Day 1: 15 January 2020\n
	\n	Day 2: 16 January 2020\n\n	Day 3: 12 February 2020\n\n\n\n	The programm
	e will help lay partners:\n\n\n\n		To improve their skills in negotiation\
	, influencing\, committee work\, teamwork\, and representing the views of 
	others\;\n	\n	\n		To act as critical friend and support shared values and 
	vision\;\n	\n	\n		To forge supportive new relationships and networks\;\n	\
	n	\n		To understand the principles of co-production and experience it in a
	ction.\n	\n\n	Please send this invitation on to any patient or carer with 
	a lay partner role who you would like to nominate as likely to gain benefi
	t from this course and to put the learning to good use. By patient we mea
	n someone who has had a life-changing illness or disability. By carer we m
	ean someone with life-changing carer responsibility. And by lay partner we
	 mean a patient or carer who works with healthcare professionals or the vo
	luntary sector to improve services to patients.\n\n\n\n	Places are strictl
	y limited and will be allocated to those who apply first\, meet the eligi
	bility criteria and can attend all three dates. Lay partners can get more
