DESCRIPTION:\n	The UK may have now past the worse of the pandemic\, but 
	the burden of Long Covid is only going to intensify in the weeks and month
	s ahead.\n\n\n\n	Estimates suggest that well over a million people are suf
	fering from the condition\, nearly half of whom have struggled with persis
	tent symptoms for at least a year.\n\n\n\n	Many will have developed Long C
	ovid after the recent Omicron wave\, which fuelled millions of weekly infe
	ctions over the Christmas period.\n\n\n\n	Yet support and treatment for th
	ese individuals has been in short supply. The NHS’ dedicated long Covid 
	clinics have struggled to cope with high demand from patients\, who feel n
	eglected and ignored by the health system.\n\n\n\n	Some ‘long haulers\
	,’ as they’re known\, have come together to form support groups and ha
	ve regularly petitioned the government for more help and recognition of th
	eir plight.\n\n\n\n	Despite the many challenges that lie ahead\, there is 
	some hope on the horizon: scientists are starting to make progress in bett
	er understanding long Covid and closing in on some of the biggest question
	s surrounding the condition.\n\n\n\n	To discuss all of these themes\, join
