	afety collaborative run by the South West Academic Health Science Network\
	, our focus and our principles\n\n\n\n	Network co-production – have the 
	opportunity to co-design our DPSN in a targeted brainstorming session. Let
	’s work together to build a network which focuses on our collective prio
	rities\, which builds and harnesses our skills and experiences and improve
	s patient safety\n\n\n\n	In our DPSN sessions throughout 2021 we had ident
	ified the challenges in managing deterioration that you are facing within 
	your settings and determined priorities for future work. The following are
	 key themes that have come out of these sessions. Why not join us to conti

	lls to prevent\, identify and escalate deterioration\n	\n	\n		Improving re
	sponse times so that the patient/person receives the right care in the rig
	ht place at the right time\n	\n	\n		Having sufficient staffing levels in a
	ll settings to maximize patient safety\n	\n	\n		Reducing inequalities – 
	access to care no matter who you are\n	\n	\n		Communicating effectively so

	pen to those who work in integrated care system organisations across Somer
	set\, Devon and Cornwall\, who are involved in patient deterioration in no

	 people with a learning disability\n	\n	\n		Mental health settings\n	\n	\n

	d\n\n\n\n	About the Deteriorating Patient Safety Network\n\n\n\n	The Deter
	iorating Patient Safety Network (DPSN) is hosted by the South West AHSN an
	d supports its members to plan\, deliver and monitor deteriorating patient
	 and resident projects.\n\n\n\n	Projects in the region have a variety of s
	ettings and support patient pathway collaboration between partners from ac
	ute and community hospitals\, community services in the home\, primary car
	e services\, care homes\, clinical commissioning groups\, councils and oth
	er partners across the region.\n\n\n\n	Quarterly DPSN events bring teams t
	ogether to collectively learn from good practice\, share resources and sup
	port each other on their improvement journey. Bespoke quality improvement 
	methodology and culture training assist the teams to collectively sculpt s
	olutions to common problems and create a thriving and active regional supp
