DESCRIPTION:\n	This conference focuses on next steps for patient safety 
	in England. Areas for discussion include implementation of streamlined ove
	rsight\, strengthened patient and staff voice\, improved use of data\, and
	 workforce support and development for the delivery of safer care.\n\n\n\n
		Policy developments &amp\; implications\n\n\n\n	It will bring together st
	akeholders and policymakers to consider the way forward following the Gove
	rnment’s acceptance of recommendations from Dr Penny Dash’s Review of
	 patient safety across the health and care landscape.\n\n\n\n	Attendees wi
	ll also examine the newly published NHS trust performance league tables\, 
	including how results are adjusted for fairness and transparency\, and how
	 findings will be used to scope and initiate targeted improvement support.
	\n\n\n\n	Key roles\, oversight &amp\; responsiveness\n\n\n\n	Sessions asse
	ss how roles and responsibilities across oversight and investigative bodie
	s can be streamlined and clarified\, including the National Quality Board\
	, the CQC and the HSSIB.\n\n\n\n	Implementation of the Patient Safety Inc
	ident Response Framework will be discussed\, alongside next steps for pat
	ient experience structures and service improvement\, as well as advocacy p
	rocesses following the expected integration of local Healthwatch functions
	 within ICBs.\n\n\n\n	Quality strategy\, addressing inequalities &amp\; im
	plementing patient empowerment\n\n\n\n	Responsibilities of commissioners a
	nd providers will be assessed\, alongside priorities for the development o
	f a national quality strategy in adult social care.\n\n\n\n	Further sessio
	ns will look at oversight and complaints processes\, including strategies 
	for identifying and addressing inequalities in safety outcomes between gro
	ups\, as well as priorities for public awareness around new advocacy optio
	ns and initiatives.\n\n\n\n	Approaches to achieving consistent application
	 of Martha’s Rule across settings will also be discussed - including p
	riorities for staff support\, supervision and organisational culture - as 
	well as ways forward for improving quality in primary care\, looking at pr
	actical steps for embedding Jess’s Rule in general practice.\n\n\n\n	L
	eadership &amp\; the workforce\n\n\n\n	Best practice for staff supervision
	 and team working will be reviewed\, as well as addressing the impact of w
	orkforce capacity pressures on safety and delivery.\n\n\n\n	We also expect
	 discussion on workforce balance and what resources will be needed to main
	tain safety standards as more care is delivered in community settings.\n\n
	\n\n	Innovation &amp\; digital tools\n\n\n\n	Delegates will discuss the us
	e of early-warning systems and other digital tools\, particularly with reg
	ard to maternity outcomes. The impact of electronic patient records on pat
	ient safety so far and key implementation considerations going forward wil
