DESCRIPTION:\n	The evidence is clear that developing a culture where sta
ff can flourish\, underpinned by leadership that is compassionate\, inclu
sive and collaborative\, is crucial both to the physical and mental health
of staff\, and to the health and care system’s ability to deliver high-
quality care.\n\n\n\n	But what stops leaders and systems from developing a
nd sustaining such cultures and from tackling the bullying and discriminat
ion that continue to harm staff and impact the care they can offer? How do
we transform our workplaces to properly support those who choose to work
in health and care\, so that staff are not just surviving their day jobs b
ut are truly able to thrive and grow?\n\n\n\n	This King's Fund event will
explore what is needed to ensure people and leaders are better enabled\, e
ncouraged in their professional development\, and consistently supported t
o deliver and support the three fundamental shifts outlined by the Prim
e Minister in a recent speech at The King’s Fund: a move from analogue t
o digital\, from hospitals to communities\, and from sickness to preventio
n.\n\n\n\n	Conference sessions will delve into how to achieve greater equi
ty in the workplace to ensure the health and care system provides genuinel
y inclusive places to work\, fostering belonging and supporting staff well
being and development. We will examine the role of those working and leadi
ng in health and care\, as well as patient and community leaders\, in maki
ng this happen\, and how old power (held by a few\, closely guarded and in
accessible) is colliding with new power (enabled by people with agency at
a grassroots level)\, the tension this creates\, and how to work effective
ly with both types of power.\n\n\n\n	Register\n\n
