DESCRIPTION:\n	This virtual masterclass is designed to equip healthcare
professionals with the essential skills and knowledge to effectively perfo
rm and manage risk assessments in the healthcare setting.\n\n\n\n	It is vi
tal for healthcare organisations to ensure staff have the necessary resour
ces and skills to undertake risk assessments to safeguard patients\, staff
\, equipment and premises from harm\, as well as remaining compliant with
legislation and national guidance (eg. Management of Health and Safety at
Work Regulations 1999\, Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activit
ies) Regulations 2014: Regulation 12).\n\n\n\n	We will delve into the fund
amental aspects of risk management\, starting with understanding what cons
titutes a risk and exploring various sources of risk identification. We’
ll introduce the ‘Bow-Tie’ method to visualise risk pathways by linkin
g causes\, consequences and risk events.\n\n\n\n	We will also learn how to
evaluate risk scores based on their potential consequence and likelihood
and we will learn about the importance of implementing and assessing the e
ffectiveness of controls.\n\n\n\n	The course will cover risk response stra
tegies using the 4T’s approach and we will be developing SMART (Specific
	\, Measurable\, Achievable\, Relevant\, Time-bound) action plans. This com
prehensive programme will equip you with the tools needed to enhance patie
nt safety and organisational resilience through effective risk management.
\n\n\n\n	Who should attend\n\n\n\n	Healthcare professionals who may have i
nvolvement in risk assessment or risk management activities. This may incl
	ude\, but is not limited to\, nursing staff\, AHPs\, non-clinical staff\,
team leaders\, managers and heads of department.\n\n\n\n	Key learning obje
ctives\n\n\n\n	By the end of the session delegates should be able to:\n\n\
n\n	\n Describe what a risk is.\n	\n	\n Know which methods to use for ri
sk identification.\n	\n	\n Understand how to implement the ‘bow-tie’
	model.\n	\n	\n Know how to consistently score risks.\n	\n	\n Identify ex
isting controls and assess their effectiveness.\n	\n	\n Understand the 4T
s of risk management.\n	\n	\n Know how to design risk responses through r
	obust action planning.\n	\n\n\n\n	Register\n\n\n\n	hub members receive 20%
