	liffe lecture\, given by Professor Christopher Bishop FRS FREng FRSE\, Tec
	hnical Fellow and Director of Microsoft Research AI for Science.  \n\n\n
	\n	Professor Bishop will discuss how the deep learning technology that und
	erpins the AI revolution is advancing at an extraordinary pace\, and many 
	of the most exciting and impactful applications of this technology will be
	 in the fields of scientific discovery and medicine. This talk will explor
	e recent advances in AI\, and will be illustrated with examples from mater
	ials design\, drug discovery\, and healthcare.\n\n\n\n	Prior to the lectur
	e\, four of the Ellison-Cliffe Travelling Fellows will give presentations 
	on their time abroad\, including the experience they gained and how the aw
	ard helped them achieve this.\n\n\n\n	After the presentations and lecture
