of illness by deprivation in England

DESCRIPTION:\n	Decades of research has shown that the health of the popu
lation in England is unequal\, with people who live in more deprived areas
experiencing illness earlier in life and dying younger. Previous Health F
oundation analysis has projected that 9.3 million people could be living w
ith major illness by 2040\, which is 2.6 million\, or 39%\, more people th
an in 2019.\n\n\n\n	In April\, the Health Foundation’s REAL Centre publi
shed its second report in their ‘Health in 2040’ series\, this time ex
ploring how current patterns of ill health vary with deprivation across En
gland\, and to what extent this is projected to change by 2040. The findin
gs have important implications for health inequality among the working age
population and how it poses a challenge to labour supply and economic gro
wth.\n\n\n\n	This webinar will convene experts to explore what the finding
s mean for how we might need to change as a society\, and what can we do t
	o better prepare for the future.\n\n\n\n	Register\n\n
