DESCRIPTION:\n	On the back of the National Point of Care Testing guidanc
e issued in May by the IBMS\, RCPath and ACB. This webinar will explore th
e use case of rapid diagnostic testing to Care\, Monitor and Protect.\n\n\
n\n	The purpose of a POCT service is to enable the delivery of high qualit
y\, accessible diagnostics at the point of need for clinical services\, im
proving clinical outcomes and enhancing the patients’ healthcare experie
nce. The aim should be to ensure that POCT services nationally utilise (an
d inform) advances in technology to innovate the way in which patients can
access diagnostics and clinical services.\n\n\n\n	Technology plays an imp
ortant part of the patient pathway and in 2022 The World Health Organisati
on (WHO) published The Target Product Profile (TPP) for readers of rapid d
iagnostic tests detailing the preferred product characteristics and target
regimen profiles.\n\n\n\n	The webinar will provide a guide for commission
ers\, NHS settings and community pharmacies delivering NHS services. The N
HS Long Term Plan highlights the importance of patients receiving care clo
ser to home\, shifting from a traditional model of hospital-based services
	 towards a more adaptive community-based approach.\n\n\n\n	Learn about\n\n
\n\n	\n Previous case studies of how Testing to Care\, Monitor and Protec
t has been robustly rolled out across the NHS. Issues faced and how they w
ere overcome.\n	\n	\n Impact of digital readers when combined with high-q
uality lateral flow tests in a clinical setting\n	\n	\n How The Target Pr
oduct Profile (TPP) for readers of rapid diagnostic tests was developed ac
cording to a process based on the WHO Target Product Profiles\, Preferred
Product Characteristics\, and Target Regimen Profiles.\n	\n\n\n\n	Speakers
\n\n\n\n	\n Dr George Newham PhD\, Research and Development Manager\, Sur
