	 nursing workforce expert\, Professor Alison Leary MBE\, speak on the sub
	jects of safe caseloads in community nursing.\n\n\n\n	Professor Alison Lea
	ry PhD RN FRCN is Chair of Healthcare &amp\; Workforce Modelling at Londo
	n South Bank University and Director of the QNI’s International Communi
	ty Nursing Observatory.\n\n\n\n	We will also hear from Cathy Woods and rep
	resentatives of the software company Yarra\, on the Use of E-CAT software
	 for Monitoring Caseloads.\n\n\n\n	The E-CAT product for district nursi
	ng is an electronic tool which supports caseload analysis and audit. Unde
	rpinned by a bespoke dependency tool and based on a methodology validated 
	by the University of Ulster\, the tool looks at caseload variables at all 
	levels\, from caseload holder to commissioner and facilitates caseload ben
	chmarking and performance management.\n\n\n\n	The tool has been implemente
	d in all five health trusts in Northern Ireland providing a significant re
	gional evidence base. We will be able to hear about the experience of usin
	g E-CAT in Northern Ireland from the NI Public Health Agency.\n\n\n\n	Regi
