DESCRIPTION:\n	This virtual masterclass will build confidence in compass
ionately engaging and involving families and loved ones to work within the
requirements of PSIRF and the Complaints Standards Framework. But more t
han this\, the masterclass will support staff to go beyond compliance to u
nderstand the issues and emotional component on a deeper level\; to have r
eal authentic engagement and involvement with patients and families.\n\n\n
\n	New frameworks such as PSIRF are now in place\, but how do we not only
comply with these\, but go beyond compliance to have real authentic compas
sionate engagement and involvement with patients\, families and indeed sta
ff to make a real positive difference? Connecting new knowledge with emoti
ons can really support long term learning\, which is an important part of
this masterclass.\n\n\n\n	Knowing things may have gone wrong can feel a he
avy burden and a complex emotional situation to be managing. Often\, we av
oid visiting difficult emotions in others\, as well as ourselves\, because
we don’t feel confident or skilled\, or we feel fearful of not doing it
perfectly.\n\n\n\n	This one-day masterclass will look at the new PSIRF an
d the Complaints Standards Framework and through real life content\, bring
ing the human focus for the patients\, loved ones\, and indeed staff to th
e forefront. It will support staff to explore what compassionate engagemen
t looks like\, feels like\, and how to communicate it authentically and me
aningfully.\n\n\n\n	In a supportive and relaxed environment\, delegates wi
ll have the opportunity to gain in depth knowledge of the emotional compon
ent\, relate to\, analyse and realise the significance of and believe in t
heir own abilities in creating practices that not only support the PSIRF b
ut go beyond compliance to be working in a way that supports gaining an op
timum outcome for patients\, families and staff\, in often a less than opt
	imum situation.\n\n\n\n	Key learning objectives:\n\n\n\n	\n Feel\, analys
e\, and explore the presence and absence of compassionate engagement withi
n life\, trauma\, and a healthcare incident and how empathy is the gateway
to compassion.\n	\n	\n Seeing perspectives and understanding emotional m
otivations and the emotional component recognising vulnerability in others
and self.\n	\n	\n Seeing the bigger picture and having an enquiring mind
to understand the story and how the ‘Funnel of Life’ can impact on ou
r ability to engage.\n	\n	\n Build confidence in the positive impact of c
ompassionate engagement and really being authentically interested in the e
motional component to be able to create an optimum outcome in often a less
than optimum situation.\n	\n	\n Explore and have a good grasp of how int
ernal unconscious belief systems\, can link through to the outcomes we ach
ieve. We know what works with compassionate engagement\, but why do we so
	often struggle?\n	\n	\n Explore and analyse biases\, judgments\, and how
a lack of compassionate engagement not only has the potential to cause psy
chological harm\, but can prevent optimum outcomes for the organisation.\n
\n	\n Realise the significance of authenticity rather than feeling fearf
ul of not doing things perfectly. Examine where can we get emotional infor
mation from to support us\, even if we are not aware we are doing it!\n	\n
\n Identify the importance of an enquiring mind and a hypothesis as we t
ry and understand the story that we are aiming to compassionately engage w
ith.\n	\n	\n Develop understanding of Safeguarded Personal Resolution (SP
R ®) to formulate compassionate engagement under PSIRF and the Complaints
Standards Framework. \n	\n	\n Develop awareness on personal wellbeing a
	nd resilience.\n	\n\n\n\n	Register\n\n\n\n	hub members receive a 20% disco
