spearheaded NHS England’s Core20PLUS5 approach to narrowing healthcare i
nequalities.\n\n\n\n	Core20PLUS5 is a national approach to reducing health
care inequalities. It defines a target population – the ‘Core20PLU
S’ – and identifies ‘5’ clinical areas that require improvement.\n
\n\n\n	The Core20 refers to the most deprived 20% of the population. The P
LUS are groups identified in a local area such as ethnic minority communit
ies or people with multiple long-term health conditions. The 5 are  these
clinical areas: maternity\, severe mental illness\, chronic respiratory d
	isease\, early cancer diagnosis\, and hypertension.\n\n
