Good Governance Institute: The new NHS - ICS series

 until

Event details

The white paper outlining the future for the NHS has been published. It shows that ICSs will be NHS-only statutory bodies in two-board systems where two boards are better than one: one for money and decisions, a second for partnerships and strategy, alongside many other shifts in the way the healthcare system will operate.

Will all this work? Certainly much of the pain of trying to run a managed system within a market-legal framework will be gone. The hope is that many of the tedious committee arrangements that stifled proper governance can be done away with.

Join the Good Governance Institute to discuss all of this in more detail at a special 'The new NHS - ICS series' event.

The session will be chaired by Mark Lam, Chair of Barnet, Enfield And Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust. There will be a presentation by Professor Andrew Corbett-Nolan, Chief Executive of GGI on the details of the paper, with thoughts and comments from Paul Maubach, Chief Executive at Dudley CCG and Lead Chief Executive at Black Country and West Birmingham ICS and Dr. Claire Fuller, Senior Responsible Officer at Surrey Heartlands Health and Care Partnership ICS.
